Our products are HANDCRAFTED FROM LEATHER, made in India from 100% cowhide full-grain leather, boasting a soft and luxurious feel. Each piece is cut by hand and hand-painted, providing a personal touch and quality that will last a lifetime.
Designed for both beauty and form, the FUNCTIONAL DESIGN of each hobo includes a top zip entry, two wall pockets, two gusseted pockets, a front zippered pocket, a full-length rear pocket, a slip-in call pocket, a shoulder strap, and two adjustable straps. The dimensions are: Width: 12.5"/31.75cm; Height: 8"/20.32cm; Depth: 3"/7.62cm, with the default shoulder strap having a 10.5"/26.67cm drop and the two adjustable straps having a maximum drop of 26"/66cm.
In the early '80s, when Swapan Basu chanced upon the opportunity to make hand-painted accessories, he was quick to seek help from his best friend and wife, Roma. In 1984, Roma started designing hand-painted bags while developing the process and refining the method of painting over the years, resulting in a closely guarded family secret today.
The colors are a very powerful element in these designs, with a wide range of abstracts, imaginary and natural scenes, depicted in muted colors of all shades and hues, transforming each handbag into an object of timeless art.
